Caregiver’s Ministry

Children and Youth Ministry

Christian Education Ministry
Apostle Paul’s letter to the church at Colossae: Christ is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.

Culinary Ministry
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.
Matthew 25: 35
The Culinary Committee provides food and beverages and plans menus for church services, programs, or events. They maintain control of kitchen inventories, maintenance and upkeep of all kitchen equipment, and disposable paper items, and advise all ministries that plan to serve food. They also oversee the cleanliness of the pantry and Fellowship Hall.
Laymen Ministry
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; (20) you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

Mail, Communication Ministry
This ministry regularly provides members on the sick and shut-in list with a copy of the Sunday bulletin, CDs, Recordings, and other materials. Other members may also request the bulletin due to vacating or other reasons.

Salem Gilfield Multimedia Ministry seeks to spread the good news of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by providing audio/visual support of our worship services.
Music Ministry
Prayer and Praise Committee
Pastor Hunt invites the community and the entire congregation to engage in church-wide prayer, praise & worship service, and bible study to spiritually strengthen the church. Bible study is held every Wednesday, along with Prayer, Praise, and Worship.

Scholarship Ministry
Proverbs 16:16 says “How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!”

This group of committee members provides support and counsel to graduating high school seniors. Each year, a scholarship is given to all graduating seniors upon completing registration requirements. A program is planned in honor of the recipients.

Adult Usher Ministry
Our Adult Ushers serve our church family by greeting and by seating our members, friends, and visitors. “I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.” (Psalm 84:10b) The Adult Ushers are representative of ages 18 and over.
Youth Ushers
Psalm 84:10 “For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the of wickedness.” The Youth Usher Ministry serves every month on specific days. This group of Ushers are under the age of 18.
